On the basis of integrating Chinese and foreign scholars' empirical studies about intellectual capital evaluation and the influence of intellectual capital upon performance, the new intellectual capital framework will help to know intellectual capital and intellectual capital measurement, which makes our understanding clearer and fuller. This paper mainly draws three conclusions as follows:I. The four components of intellectual capital, namely human capital, structural capital, customer capital and innovation capital, have a marked influence on performance. The results of analysis indicate the influence of different component aspects of human capital, structural capital, customer capital and innovation capital on performance is in specified order.II. Human capital, which prominently influencing structural capital, customer capital and innovation capital, is the centre of intellectual capital. So the four components of intellectual capital are interacting and interdependent. They jointly accelerate the promotion of performance.III. Human capital and structural capital pass indirect effectiveness via customer capital and innovation capital upon performance. So this thesis puts forward some useful countermeasures and suggestions to manage intellectual capital in knowledge-intensive enterprises in China.
