The Third Party Logistics is an emerging industry and it develops rapidly and shows a great marketing potential. Chinese logistics market opened widely after China joined World Trade Organizations. The prospect of further development of Chinese logistics attracts more and more international logistics companies to enter Chinese logistics market with high speed. On the other hand, international logistics companies, who have already started their business in China, are keen to keep close relationship with local company and set up their own network to raise their market share. Foreign logistics companies are strongly interacted and globally networked. They are advanced in knowledge, experience and financial background and also keep good relationships among global companies. However, most of foreign logistics companies in China are lack of local network and has limited business scope. But via M&A, they are trying to strengthen their position in the Chinese market by raising the market share. Through a brief review of the history of Third Party Logistics and the analysis of advantages and disadvantages of the foreign logistics in China, the present study are aimed to evaluate the prospect of Third Party Logistics and the strategies for the development of foreign logistics companies in Chinese Third Party Logistics market.
