| Inventory management is one of the most important parts of production management. Nowadays, enterprises interminably pursue the objective that the stocking must not only satisfies the need of production, but also minimizes the cost. MRP II and JIT are two modern techniques of inventory management, and have made great contributions to the improvement of production. However, they also have limitations of their own.We find out that the two techniques can remedy each other through the analysis of their limitations. And then how to integrate with the two effectively to play a more important role in production becomes the main researching field of this thesis.Firstly, it introduces the development of the researching field both at home and abroad. Then points out that integrating with the two is one of the directions of production management.Secondly, the second and third paragraphs give a detailed introduction about the development, controlling methods, running principles of MRPII and JIT. And bring forward a more advanced method of production management as a whole.Thirdly, the following paragraph is the key point of the thesis. And it mainly contains the contents about two improvements: the one is integrating the concept that the "one" is the best purchasing amount in JIT to the purchasing method in MRP II system; The other is applying the "kanban" system to MRP II to decrease the stocking of WIP and maximize the using rate of equipment and human resource.Lastly, the thesis studies the inventory management of Shanghai Bentele Automotive Cot, Ld. and improves it with the methods through the analysis of the cost of operation and process. By doing that, it is obvious that the cost has reduced greatly and the productivity has improved a lot. So it also achieves welcome effects. |
