Transformation Of The Textile Production Standards To Trade Standards

The global textiles and garment trade has been in liberalization in 2005. More opportunities face China's textile industry. But it does not mean that Chinese textiles will enter into international market without any obstacles after abolishing the quota for textile and apparel products. The product standard is production-oriented model in China and trade-oriented model in developed country. Therefore, in order to change Chinese model of product standard, make Chinese standard on a level with international standard, strengthening the research on the standard transformation from production-oriented model to trade-oriented model is extremely anxious.At present, the study on textile standard conversion of production-oriented model to trade-oriented model in textile industry is still a blank field. This article focuses the primary study on theory and system, putting forward some suggestions on the conversion. And this article comprises five parts. The first part is the outline of production-oriented model standard and trade-oriented model standard, mainly introducing the concept and characteristic of the two different model standards. The second part introduces the present situation of research on Chinese product standard. Through comparison between home and abroad in product standard, it finds out the problems existing in the process of transformation from production-oriented model standard to trade-oriented model standard. And it also reasons these problems out. The third part evaluates the importance of influence factor in the process of conversion of production-oriented model standard to trade-oriented model standard by the model of synthetic evaluation of fuzzy mathematics. The fourth part gives some concrete proposals and measures to solve the problems in the course of transformation. The last part analyzes the problems and deficiencies in this paper.With the world's economy integration, the international trade competition will intensify. The international trade competition is the standard competition in essence. Hence, China' textile industry should get a clear understanding of the present international situation, changing the idea of setting standard from production-oriented model to trade-oriented model timely, adapting to the development trend of international trade, meeting the need of market economy better, making China's textile industry more competitive in international market.
