| Coming along with the era of Knowledge Economy, knowledge has become anotherbasic factor of production besides land, labor, and capital. Knowledge Management can notonly help enterprises to innovate, but also enable them to better adapt to the needs ofcustomer, and so to build the core competency. This thesis brings out the ContingentKnowledge Management Model through the standard analysis and extensiveexemplification, that the management should choose the proper knowledge managementmethod according to the company's environment & situation. After the choice ofknowledge management, the company should assess the influence of the managing methodupon the organization's knowledge creation, and adopt certain knowledge creationmanagement to lead the whole process into a virtuous circle for the company's long-termdevelopment.The thesis composes of five chapters. The first chapter briefly reviews the classicliteratures and their major points. The second chapter studies the concept of knowledge,knowledge management and knowledge-creation management. The third chapter, as themost important chapter, divides modern knowledge management models into 2 parts. Thenthe author brings out the model of Contingent Knowledge Management Model with somespecific cases. In the fourth chapter, the author does an analysis of the common tactics ofknowledge-creation assessment. Following chapter three's knowledge managementmethods, chapter four describes the methods used in the assessment of knowledgemanagement, and emphasizes that the assessment should be done in different stages.Combined with the Contingent Knowledge Management Model, chapter five studies thepossible influences of the managing methods on the knowledge creation process, andprovides some suggestions. It also suggests that the management should change theknowledge management methods according with the changes of the organization'senvironment. |
