With the development of Human Resource Management, it has become the partner of stragetic decisions, from its original role as personnel archives management, in modern companies. Being the important part of the company's human resource management system, the methods of performance management have been adopted by many companies in the world and also paid more and more attention to by a number of domestic enterprisers. Performance management is not only a means of enterprise management, but also the core and a kind of culture in enterprise management. Performance management in itself has profound management ideas and abundant management practice as its basis, so the paper studies the performance management by combining its theory with practice and having a comprehensive view of trans-subjects. Many companies are setting up their performance management system (PMS) through the consulting companies or by their own HR department. They have put performance management in an important position to build their core competence. They hope that it couid improve their whole performance and therefore attain their strategic aims through putting the PMS into practice. So it has become a very urgent and important work for the company's high-level managers.This paper believes that performance management is a subsystem of enterprise human resource management, which is relatively independent, complicated and recycling, by studying the method of performance management with Oushang Company as its sample. Firstly, it studies the conditions of Oushang Company and raised the problems . Secondly, it puts forward the methods and content of performance management for Oushang Company. At last, it also mentions the flaws that still exist now and should be studied next.The innovation lies in: (1) this paper studies the factors in every stage of performance management such as plan, do, check and action.(2) it puts forward the ideas and the working flow of setting up the performance management system based on Key Performance Indicators (KPI).According to the circle of the performance in performance management,this system promotes the employees' performance, and their good performance promotes the whole organizational performance continuously. All these build up a solid ground for the realization of the organizational strategy.
