After China’s entry into the WTO, supermarket operators in China are facing stron g competition from many international chain companies. Changes in the internal and ext ernal environment not only pose a severe test to the survival and development of large-s cale comprehensive supermarkets, but also create a good opportunity for their developm ent. Therefore, developing reasonable and effective strategic policy has far-reaching sig n i fi can c e fo r t h e d ev el o p m en t o f l arg e- s c al e co m p r eh en s i v e s u p erm ark et s.In this paper, the development strategy of Wangwang Supermarket in Sanya that is located in the southernmost of China was summarized based on the theory of enterprise strategy management.Through investigation and research, the internal and external envir onment of the enterprise were analyzed with Michael Porter’s Five Forces Model, PEST and SWOT method to summarize the advantages and disadvantages of Wangwang Sup ermarket, develop the development strategy for Wangwang Supermarket in Sanya City, and further propose countermeasures and suggestions on the implementation of the deve lopment strategy. In the process of specific analysis, PEST and other strategy analysis m ethods were used comprehensively, which presented certain practical implications for the study of the development strategy of supermarkets in Hainan.
