A Study On The Relationship Between Infrastructure Supply And Urbanization In

In the recent 25 years,the Infrastructure supply of Qingdao has been increasing,while its urbanization rate ranking compared to the peer cities is in the second half. So,analyzing the relationship between the infrastructure supply and urbanization,confirming the contribution degree to urbanization of each infrastructure,pointing out the key infrastructures,are all very necessary for urbanization optimizing of Qingdao.Firstly,this paper summarizes the research frame of infrastructure supply and urbanization through introducing their concepts and relationship.Then,the development of infrastructure supply and urbanization of Qingdao were summarized with theory and graphs.On the basis of the front analysis and the annual data from 1990 to 2013 of Qingdao Statistics Department,the paper does a empirical research on the relationship between infrastructure supply and urbanization rate,using VAR model,impulse response and variance decomposition.Then according to the empirical research results and the goal of 75%urbanized in 2020,the paper evaluates the current infrastructure supply of Qingdao.The results show that the relationship between infrastructure supply and urbanization rate of Qingdao is positive and slightly strong,and the influence of infrastructure supply to urbanization is stronger.The Influence degree to urbanization ranks by traffic,energy,water,environment.The traffic infrastructure does a strongest influence to urbanization and the environmental infrastructure does a longest one.The infrastructure supply of Qingdao is insufficient,and the increasing rates of infrastructure supply are all lower than the level required by urbanization.Traffic and environmental infrastructures should be highly valued.Besides,Qingdao should make a accurate plan of infrastructure supply increasing rate and investment amount, accomplish the investment subject reformation as soon as possible,develop urbanization sustainably and healthily.
