We choose S company as a case to explore the Middle Managers’ relationship of Emotional Intelligence and Work Performance in Foreign-Owned companies. Combing the previous study on Emotional Intelligence and Work Performance, the thesis uses the "Emotional Intelligence Self-Assessment Questionnaire" designed by Zhang Huihua and the "Work Performance Rating Scale" modified by Yu Decheng as tools to test the Middle Managers’ relationship of Emotional Intelligence and Work Performance. The result shows that:(1) A higher level of Emotional Intelligence in the target corporate, especially in dealing with relationship;(2)Interpersonal sensitivity and task performance, contextual performance, and relationship treatment with task performance is weak correlation, significant positive correlation between various dimensions of the various dimensions of Emotional Intelligence and Work Performance;(3)Work intellectual and emotional regulation has a very strong impact on job performance. In addition, this research tries to introduce the results of the empirical validation to the actual situation. The thesis gives some suggestions concerning the recruitment and training sessions for the Middle Managers.
