Research On Six Sigma Quality Management Method In SX Group

Since the reform and opening up, China’s economy has gained unprecedented development. The economy has reached a new level and people have got rid of the period of persuading food and clothing that last more than two decades. While there is no shortage of items and people’s life have improved, people pay much more attention on the quality of product. Especially some businessman, who lack of morale, produced some products with quality problem has caused bad consequences, which making "quality" become the focus of the whole society.The Hangji Town of Yangzhou is the accommodation of toiletries industry in China, mainly produces toothbrushes and extension of hotel supplies, health supplies, packaging materials and other products. After 30 years of development, the development of the market has been relatively mature, the competition between enterprises are increasingly fierce, so, bringing in the advanced quality management mode to further improve product quality level has become the inherent requirement of many enterprises. The SX Group studied in this paper is a large daily chemical product manufacturing enterprise in Hangji, which is founded in 1989 and registered as Jiangsu SX Group co., LTD in 1996. The Group covers an area of 1800 mu, with 1196 people working in it. The SX Group develops and owns 9 categories and 266 kinds of products, covering toothbrushes, incense coil, aerosol insecticides, electric mosquito coils, electric mosquito liquid, sanitary napkins, sanitary pads, baby diapers and paper diapers. This paper mainly discusses the application of Six Sigma quality management in SX group.At the beginning of the paper, we analyze the quality management both at home and abroad and the theory of Six Sigma quality management. On this basis, this paper introduces the condition of the SX group and its application of Six Sigma quality management and then discusses their quality control in the production of sanitary napkins by using DMAIC. At last, we give some suggestions of Six Sigma management’s application in the SX Group. Through the study of this paper, the writer hoped the Six Sigma management in the SX Group could have deeper application and could promote the enterprises’management capability and competitiveness. Meanwhile, it is expected that our research could provided some experience and reference to some similar type enterprises in this area.This paper selects a real enterprise as the research object, discussing the applications of Six Sigma management in this enteiprise, so it has a good operability. However, as a result of the limitation of time and capacity, the application of the Six Sigma management in the enterprise culture has not been further researched in this paper and it may be improved in the following related research.
