Teaching-affair-management information system is mainly to have an easier access for students, teachers to get the information they want. In addition, it can also facilitate the contact between students, teachers and the Office of Academic Affairs. Furthermore, it is more convenient for the class-teachers, class-assistants and it is a short-cut to make known all the teaching affairs and to get feedback. It is much more helpful to deal with the students'scores and grades. The author here, after analyzing the teaching management information system, through studying and practicing management information system , database technology , database design and theoretical basis, database SQL Server principles, mainly makes clear the demand analysis, functional division, the data flow diagram design, and works out ER drawing, database structure design, and the design of view, form and statement combining database principles and function division.This paper at first simply puts forward the background, the purpose and significance of this research at home and abroad, as well as the present situation, development trend, the concerned research objects and contents. It also simply analyzes the key technologies for developing systems. Chapter 2 introduces emphatically the theoretical basis, including database technology development, the relational database model of the system and database design process, etc; gives an outline for Java and Java server JBoss; discusses the application of three-layer structure and J2EE architecture; and gives a brief introduction for UML conceptual model which provides a theory basis for subsequent system analysis and design.Chapter 3 gives introduction to the functions of the teaching management information system, and describes its business functions using the "use case diagram". Chapter 4 gives the overall design, differentiates the function module for systematic functions and draws the relevant flowcharts.This system design makes full use of powerful functions of object-oriented database technology and puts flexible use of the project management tools, the optimized reference and view as well as the strong wizard group of SQL Server, etc. Therefore, it greatly increases the programming efficiency.
