Laser assisted direct writing is a new laser processing technology which process efficiently and swiftly without environment pollution. Laser assisted direct writing has developed rapidly in China in recent years. The traditional processing manner in many areas has been replaced by laser assisted direct writing marking as a conventional processing method. Moreover, it has become a new industry standard. But, there are distance between foreign advanced technology and domestic technology. Limited processing material type and inadequate precision and automation are the main problems.The main features of this paper are:First, Qt framework is used to build the software to replace the popular MFC framework;Second, the method of software engineering design software system is used to complete the powerful, easy to operate software system;Third, the image processing method is used to focus laser direct writing machine automatically to replace the commonly used method;Fourth, the machine vision-assisted method is used to improve the automation of laser assisted direct writing machine.Main contents of this article as follows:First, the overall design of laser assisted writing systemIncluding optical subsystem and mechanical motion subsystem, a laser assisted direct writing system is designed; Two plans of laser assisted direct writing system are proposed and analyzed; Both of them are demonstrated the feasibility and compared their respective advantages and disadvantages; As a consequence, a better plan is chosen.Second, the research and realization of algorithmIncluding image processing algorithms and non-image processing algorithms, the main processing algorithms which used in laser assisted direct writing system is designed and completed; The processing algorithm is the key technology which supports the system's automation, intelligence and precision effectively; These algorithms mainly related to the field of machine vision, and are successful applied to laser assisted direct writing system;Third, making the software of laser assisted writing systemThe laser assisted direct writing software is designed and completed; The software development with reference to a number of software engineering design methods makes the software modularized and independent; The software is perfected step by step in the iterative development process; In accordance with the guidance of use cases, the efficient development is carried out in the iterative process of needs analysis; Finally, powerful and convenient laser assisted direct writing software with a nice user interface is completed;Fourth, the analysis of experiment dataThe accuracy of marking graphics are analyzed through the analysis of experimental data results; The results show that the system meets the design requirements.Eventually, the high-precision laser assisted direct writing machine for processing platinum metal film on the silica substrate is completed. The line precision of it can reach 10μm.The laser direct writing machine for processing platinum metal materials has not been reported yet in China.
