At the present, wireless communication systems are increasingly using the microwave / RF MEMS devices, MEMS devices have become a focus of the research of institutes and research organizations around the world,MEMS switch as a important signal routing device for microwave/RF communication system, compared with the traditional PIN and GaAS FET switch, MEMS switch has advantages in low insertion loss, high isolation, width frequency band, low DC power consumption, and good linearity. A MEMS series contact switch was designed in this thesis, it can be applied in the 0 ~ 10GHz frequency range, can work good with low insertion loss, high isolation, and have excellent microwave frequency performance.In recent years, for good prospects, the frequency reconfigurable antenna take a great deal of attentions. Frequency reconfigurable antenna take advantage of microwave/RF switch routing functions, use a physical structure of antenna switch to a variety of working conditions, to achieve frequency reconfigurable, so that an antenna can work in multiple frequency bands.Firstly,microstrip rectangular ring slot antenna is analyzed in This thesis,and then,design a microstrip rectangular ring slot reconfigurable antenna that work states are controlled by some MEMS switchs, and can work in two center frequencys of 1.90GHz and 2.30GHz,at the last,to analysis the reconfigurable properties for microstrip rectangular ring slot antenna.Then, the microstrip patch slot antenna are analyzed and researched in this thesis, firstly,analysis the major parameters that affect the frequency band and performance of microstrip patch slot antenna,after that,microstrip patch single-slot reconfigurable antenna that controlled by 3 MEMS switchs and microstrip patch multi-slot reconfigurable antenna that controlled by 10 MEMS switchs were designed,both can operate in multiple frequency bands respectively and with good microwave RF performance; where the microstrip patch multi-slot reconfigurable antenna can work in frequency band of 1.51 GHz ~ 2.48 GHz, dramatically increased the bandwidth of the antenna, coverage in which 2.36 GHz ~ 2.48?GHz ISM frequency band(2.4GHz are ISM frequency band common to many countries); The control of the state of the switch combination of this antenna can be programmed through software, to achieve control of the antenna operating frequency, the frequency can reconfigurable flexibly.After that, two reconfigurable antennas that designed in previous was optimized by consider the actual size of MEMS, the structure and size of two reconfigurable antennas was adjusted by consider the actual size of MEMS, and ultimately come up with a combination of MEMS switches in antenna structure, and the performance same as the two reconfigurable antennas that designed in previous chapter.Finally, a new form of reconfigurable antenna-fractal antenna was analyzed and designed, and use of software simulation is validated, the last of the reconfigurable fractal antenna is analyzed.
