The TWR (through-the-wall radar) is a new techology of radar-exploration, which can penetrate the wall and other opaque obstuctions by sending super broad band electromagnetic wave, can be used in detection, orientation and imaging of the targets.In the background of through-the-wall radar, the transceiver of TWR is researched in this thesis, its main contents consists:1 Analysis of the TWR transceiver system: firstly, the objective of the system is made and the key guideline of the system is determined; then, system functions as well as the difficulties in system designing are analyzed, thus the collectivity design scheme is given; finally, the shielding box is desigind.2 Analysis of the theroy of the TWR transmitter: designs of active loop filter are discussed, comparative analysis of the differences between active loop filter and passive loop filter is made, and charge pump ouput in different case is analyzed.3 Esigning the transmitter of TWR: the transmitter is designed, including choice of key devices, Estimation of key arguments, design of core circuit; the simulation of Phase loop lock is completed by ADIsimPLL tool, ADF4106 control program is developed and PCB is designed.4 Designing the receiver of TWR: current receiver systems are compared, which ultilized AD8347 and ADL5382 quadrature demodulator devices, direct-conversion receiver is studied in theory and its simulation results are given, besides, core circuit and PCB are designed.5 Debugging of transceiver system: the test results are given, and also debuging expericeces are summarized.
