With the development of network technology,computer technology,multimedia technology and the continual renovation of educational theories,it has been possible to teach online experimental courses. Web-based digital experimental platform can break the restriction of time and space,by meeting the need of some learners who can't go to school to experimentize because of some matters,it can also meet the need of some schools or regions who can't teach experimental courses becauses of the natural restriction. Web-based digital experimental platform makes the form of experimental instruction more diversiform: experimental platform provides planar or three-dimensional experimental scenes for learners; experimental platform makes learners prepare for the experiment and then review it so as to comprehend the experiment profoundly ,by providing correlative experimental resources for learners; experimental platform can also realize the transmission and share of knowledge,by offering tools which are synchronous or asynchronous to construct virtual learning community.After analysing the research and application state of current experimental platform ,This paper emphasizes on analysing,designing the structure and function of the web-based digital experimental platform so that it can provide support and assistance for learners as perfectly as possible: It constructs the experimental platform on Open Source Learning Management System (OS LMS)--Moodle,which provides umpty modules to meet the need of experimental instruction,to effectively enrich the function of Experimental platform and the styles of Experimental resources and to enhance the participant degree of learners.In period of realizing the experiment,this paper expatiates methods of modeling and adding interactivity,as an example of"the use of electroscope"which uses 3D Max to modeling and Cult 3D to add interactivity.Vivid experimental equipment and experimental platform which is abundant with interactivity,makes distant learners be deeply immersed in experimental scene and enjoy themselves.Based on the investigation upwords,this paper also introduces the concept of Collaborative Virtual Environments ,analyses the advantages of integrating Experimental Platform and Collaborative Virtual Environments to advance the concurrent level of learners.The innovation of this paper contains offsetting the application shortages of digital experiment by enriching the function and resource types of experimental platform and promoting the concurrent level of distant learning; designing and realizing the web-based digital experimental platform; discussing the applied technologies of digital experiment and. With the result of this research, it's easy to find an effective approach to improve the experimental instruction and to enhance the experimental performance, and it means great significance for implementing web-based distant experiment and accelerating the modernization of experimental instruction.
