Ka-band Five-digit Phase Shifter

Phased array radar, is to use phase-shifting electronically controlled antenna array as the main components of a radar. Its antenna beam scanning entirely electronically controlled beam scanning speed is not only high, but the number of beams, movement pattern can be arbitrarily controlled. With the phased array radar system operating frequency to the Ka-band and even W-band, which corresponds to the transmitting and receiving millimeter-wave band components aroused extensive attention, millimeter wave digital phase shifter of the study on including the research of phased-array radar.This paper describes the microwave control circuits and its characteristics and classification, analysis of the characteristics of various types of phase shifter, and the use of phased array radar, described the characteristics and applications, and summarizes the phase shifter coming trends. PIN diode and then made a brief introduction, this paper explains the diode forward bias and reverse bias at the time of working principle, as well as the parameters of PIN diode indicator, and then gives the equivalent model of PIN diode. Then on the digital phase shifter phase-shifting principle this paper carried out a brief description of the digital phase shifter and introduces the important technical indicators and classification. Finally, according to the existing theoretical knowledge, simulation and design a ka-band 5-bit digital phase shifter, and conduct the test.
