A perfect fault diagnostic system is the precondition to guarantee the reliability and safety of maglev train. When faults are with many components in train, one of goal to design fault diagnostic system is how to evaluate the severity degree to faults with the whole train reasonably. And another goal is how to analyse faults occurred and find the fundamental reasons which result in the faults. Study on fault diagnostic system of maglev train is conducted in this paper, which mainly discusses fault diagnostic technology centering on these two aspects. When faults with many parts in train occur, fuzzy comprehensive method is presented to evaluate the graveness degree to faults with the whole train in this paper. Firstly faults with various parts in train are analysed , and subjection relations between cause-set and effect-set are settled , thus the graveness degree to faults with the whole train can be estimated by a multilayer comprehensive evaluation model built in this paper. Finally simulation of the model built on computers shows its reasonability.Aiming at the reliability of suspension subsystem and power subsystem, fault tree analysis is adopted to solve it. Importance degrees to various parts in these two subsystems are studied, and some requirements for the reliability of key parts are put forward.Besides, related to realization of the model on hardware platform of programme logical controller(PLC), technologies about self-diagnosis on PLC, technologies about network communication on PLC, and technologies about self-adapting to vehicle groups are all given in this paper.
