With the fast development of digital communication, computer network and multimedia technology, electronic commerce has been developed rapidly and its trading volume shows exponential growth. However, new technologies and services bring new problems inevitably, especially, the problem of information security in electronic commerce. It is not reliable that only the traditional technology of information security, such as encryption, authentication, access control technology, is depended. In order to solve this difficult problem, the brand-new technology in the field of information security, i.e. digital watermark, has been proposed in recent years. Digital watermarking technique and its applications in E-commerce are studied in this thesis. The main contents of the thesis are described as follows:Firstly, robust digital watermarking is researched in detail. Based on the concept of signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and the technique of wavelet transform, the algorithm of robust digital watermarking is implemented.Secondly, the detailed investigation of fragile digital watermarking is presented. The algorithm for embedding fragile watermarking in wavelet domain is introduced, and the error-correcting theory is employed to improve the tampering sensitivity.Thirdly, the application of robust digital watermarking in E-commerce security is studied. The robust digital watermarking can be applied to protect digital production copyright, and its principle diagram for defending the copyright is presented. Finally, the application of fragile digital watermarking in E-commerce transaction is also researched. The fragile digital watermarking can be used to examine the integrality of digital production, and its block diagram for integrity authentication is given.
