Multi-Chip Module (MCM) technology is an important development direction in the field of electronic communications. Low-Temperature Co-fired Ceramics (LTCC) passive components play an important role in MCM. LTCC inductors, capacitors, structural diversity, components performance varies with frequency and structure changes. They have affected the whole circuit or chip module performance. Therefore, the establishment of LC equivalent circuit model and extracting the model parameters are very important for the control of the component values and the circuit performance.After the effect on LTCC inductors with the changes of physical parameters are studied, two inductor equivalent modes are respectively built to extract the model parameters. In the extraction process of T-equivalent circuit for the lossless transmission line, Y matrix is used. The transmission characteristics at specific frequency point and the time-harmonic telegraph equations are also used to extract the component values. In the extraction process of T-equivalent circuit for the inductor, this thesis extracts the model parameters from the series and parallel resonance frequencies of the imaginary part of new matrix. New parameter is added. In order to verify extraction method, three different structures of the inductor are designed.This thesis introduces the input and output inductor to LTCC capacitor equivalent model. Model parameters are extracted from the characteristics of the input resistance. LTCC capacitors are designed and the improved extraction method is verified.Since large values of inductance are required for the LTCC low-pass filter, three-dimensional U-type spiral inductor is used to achieve a better performance. It is easy to achieve a symmetrical capacitor structure for the LTCC technology. In the design of band-pass filter, in order to reduce the device size, a layer interconnect technology to realize the mutual inductance is used, which reduces the number of three-dimensional model components because of LTCC three-dimensional structure. The tadpole-type line inductance is used in the design in order to get a better wiring density and the compact size. The filter shows a center frequency of 2.0GHz and the overall size of the filter is 4.2×4.7×0.7mm~3.
