Led Large Screen .16-channel Constant Current Driver Chip Simulation Design And Testing

With the rapid growth of electronic technology and the development of science and technology, the requirements of large screen display become higher and higher. The generic ICs for power management are not suit any more. As a high-tech electronic product,LED display screen has been concerned and developed very quickly. They are widely used in many fields such as telecommunications, postal, finance, transport, gymnasium, outdoor work in various industries and government departments etc. As the same time, people's demand of LED display becomes big size, high uniformity, high display quality, and long life time. Therefore, a multi-channel, highly accurate LED output current driver chips on a special study focus nowadays.This article describes in detail with the protection of a 16-channel constant current LED Driver IC dedicated design and performance of several functional modules and the simulation results. The chip design required operating voltage range of 3.3V-5V, the channel's output current range of 3mA-60mA, and the exact size of the output current is adjustable clock frequency of 25MHz, also satisfies the system requirement of high data transmission. Design of the circuit including the SDI input module, SDO output port module, voltage reference module, current regulation module, over-temperature protection module, the output stage module circuit different modules.This article is based on 0.35um mixed-signal CMOS technology, the use of Cadence working platform for the module circuit simulation verification, and on this basis, the overall joint function of circuit simulation and test analysis. Chip output current error is less than 3%, chip error between the output current is less than 6%, compared to the past, it used 16-channel constant current LED driver, have a more superior and higher output current regulation accuracy of current matching precision, but also has a small chip area, in industrial production can be significantly increased chip production and greatly reduce the production cost per chip.
