Web Technology And Distance Education System

In recent years, the booming information technology has had an effect on education. Learning by means of network has become the fist choice. People acquire knowledge through all kinds of means rather than restricting within distance or soaking up new information in a passive manner, not to mention the difference in educated groups. The single condition of receiving education was solved by a certain extent when the current long-distance educating systems came up. However, the system has some drawbacks for example the state or an instance of being imperfect, scarce in resource, resource replication and not fully used. There are some questions that need be considered. What kinds of learning models can adapt the needs of educated people? What kinds of learning models can fit completely the needs of those people? What kinds of learning models or platforms, which can reflect the main body who are individual learners and can give full play to teachers, can be built for teachers and learners? Recently, the development of WEB data mining technology has provided a wonderful opportunity for long-distance teaching. It's an effective way to solve the problem above utilizing the technology to the teaching system.With the establishment of the individualized teaching system of long-distance, and with the prominent role that the technology of WEB data mining plays in the system, this paper has conducted an elaborate research on application of the technology from two perspectives: WEB log mining and WEB content mining. Reading and learning the current studies of WEB theories and algorithms and finding their characteristics, we make some progress on the current algorithms and methods concerned with WEB mining. Also, we put forward a new recommendable algorithm, which has seriously considered the algorithm of the Preferred Browsing Paths based on sliding windows and the method of super-links based on corresponding net pages based on the technology of WEB content mining. Meanwhile, we put forward some novel strategies integrating organically WEB log mining and WEB content mining, which can work much more positively to enhance learning interests and efficiency of users by means of validly seeking for the model users appreciate most and raising the accuracy of recommendable net pages.
