With the sharp increasing of the road network construction of the highway and the car quantities, the situation of highway becomes more and more complex. People have strong internal requirements such as the comfort, safety and convenience of the travel, information and so on. Therefore, it needs that all levels of road traffic management departments strengthen the situation monitoring and improve on the road network plan. The best method solving or relieving the above-mentioned problem is the collection, analysis and issuance of road network moving information. It can not only ensure the daily traffic flow and ease the worsening traffic jam at present, but also deal with unexpected accidents quickly and raise the decision-making level of road network plan. At present, the road network monitoring has been widely used and popularized in the highway, national roads, provincial roads and urban traffic of our country. Moreover, it makes the traffic management and public transportation of above-mentioned cases better.For the highway road network of Guangdong province, this paper designed the comprehensive analysis system of highway road network. Furthermore, this system has been carried out in the monitoring center of Guangdong province highway Co.,Ltd and the result is favorable. The functions that this comprehensive analysis system possesses are as follows:(1)By the collection and analysis of road network comprehensive information, it can strengthen the road network situation monitoring, improve the ability to deal with highway happenings and the guidance level, raise the highway management level and can also make public transportation more free.(2)By the analyzing the traffic accidents and traffic flux, the road network moving situation can be presumed and evaluated and the dynamic traffic information issuance can be realized. It not only can offer traffic information for public, but also can raise the level of public traffic service.(3)By accumulating the data of traffic flux information, analyzing the development tendency of flux and predicting the traffic requirement in future, it can offer data basis for road network plan and reference for adjusting the road network construction.Firstly, this paper studies the development history, present situation, problems and the research hotspots of the highway network, and analyzes the typical object-oriented relational database. Besides, its designing and accessing methods are summarized and compared. And thus, combined with practical application, the article works out the composition of the structure after it carried out the system plan and the whole design for the whole province of Guangdong expressway network platform on the basis of the analysis of networking monitoring technology development, and it describes the design plan of the system in detail on this basis. Secondly, it does a detailed design combined with the practical demand of the Guangdong provincial expressway network monitor, the information collection of the road net traffic, the data processing of the road net traffic, the analysis and treatment of the special events in the traffic, the release of the road network information, the display of the network status, etc. It puts forward an algorithm---DS-ANN based on ANN's double section piece in the automatic detection subsystem of road traffic incident, on the one hand, the algorithm can not only improve the effectiveness and efficiency by using the traffic information contained in the downstream testing traffic data at the site. On the other hand, it can strictly separate the distribution of the high-density compression wave form the low-density extended wave, and determine the initial position of traffic congestion. Finally, it sums up and prospects its function and its effect, and thus it also gives some screenshots pictures in the highway network information system.
