Monitoring and Management System for Municipal Fire Alarm Automatic makes use of communication ways such as PSTN (Public Switched Telephone Network) and GPRS (General Packet Radio Service), combined with computer technology and GIS (Geographic Information System), to achieve remote monitoring of the building fire-fighting equipments. By monitoring the real-time status of fire fighting system, fire risks can be found early and disposed in time. And the accident loss of fire can be effectively avoided.The thesis introduces all part of the system, and it introduces the function and structure of the application software modules in the monitoring center as well.The system requires high reliability and needs to provide continuing service. To improve system reliability, techniques such as distributed architecture, hardware redundancy and software fault tolerance are used in design.The practical application shows that server overload causes the system instability. The thesis introduces the two-server cluster system based on Oracle database. The technology of two-server parallel services as well as the technology of RAID1 disk mirror is used to achieve load balancing and to improve system stability.
