In this paper, An energy conservation method which can be realized is proposed in Wireless Sensor Network(WSN).In this method, Transmit Power Control is used in MAC layer. A typical Transmit Power Control(TPC) mechanism is considered:The minimum power of transmission data pack-ets is required to be no less than given information packet error probability; meanwhile, MAC control data packet is transferred at maximum power. This scheme is selected because network topology is not modified, so the trans-mission distance of control data packet remains same. This can analytically calculate expected energy saving. Besides, this type of Transmit Power Con-trol (TPC) can be used in present Hardware Sensors, as well as some realized MAC Protocol in Wireless Sensor Network (WSN). Analysis is based on the assessment of value (the ratio of total energy consume when using tradi-tional MAC protocol and that when using TPC mechanism).In the computation ofη, we assume:1,this energy saving network compu-tation takes a long time; 2,the number of sensors is huge; 3,the node location is random; 4,the distribution of node follows normal distribution; 5,node is not movable. In the analysis of this paper, we emphasize wireless transmission and network node distribution, because this will determine the capability of energy saving. Within this context, we will give the computational formula ofηmean and related analysis.
