| As the core technology of semantic web, ontology has been used in sociality, agriculture, business and many other industries. There have been many open platform enabling common users to edit knowledge. The advantage of this kind of method is to use public power to implement quick increase of ontology repository, quicken the information expanding. But at the same time, some important problems are generated; ontology evolution is one of them. In collaborative ontology environment, different users have different opinions and understanding limitation, so they may provide reverse knowledge to the ontology repository; this is why knowledge conflicting happens.In the evolution of ontology, the settlement of knowledge conflicting is a very important step. Through merging and resolving, ontology repository is kept harmoniously at a certain time. And during this process, new information is added to ontology repository, namely old version of repository is updated to new version.This paper discusses the architecture of ontology evolution and then deeply discusses the conflict checking and resolving based on this architecture. And this paper uses formalized method to accurately define ontology conflicts. And the system will use these definitions to check conflicts. This method could ensure the steadiness and accuracy of conflicts checking and avoid uncertainty of the result of checking. This paper will give detailed solution and algorithm of conflict checking. And this paper proposes artificial and automated method to resolve conflicts. In one aspect, conflict resolve is impacted by human knowledge and in other aspect artificial method could not solve all the problems of conflicts because of massive data. And this paper gives algorithm of automated resolve method.Based on methods above, an ontology construction tool, a conflict checking system, a conflict resolving system and a conflict merge system are implemented. And these tools have been accepted by the National 863 Project. |
