Nowadays drug abuse and addiction is the most serious public health problems. Opioid abuse and addiction has already serious harm the people's normal life and social stability, the mechanism of addiction has been the focus of medical research. In China the most addictive substances which drug abusers have take is opioid. We use computer graphics and image processing technology to analyses and research the location and concentration of opiate receptors so that we could understand the mechanism of addiction. At the same time, we convert the data which have been computed and calculated to graphics and images. Last displayed them on the screen and interact with them so that we could observe and analyses the three-dimensional data sensorial and comprehensivelyIn this paper, we take the measure that from whole to the part. We cut brain into small pieces in 5mm×5mm×5mm size by Cartesian coordinates and make them into tissue chips, then determination quantity of opioid receptors by immunohistochemistry of tissue and save data into the database. Then we introduce the visual toolkit VTK on base of VC++ 6.0 compiled environment. We use of the ray casting method to reconstruction the three-dimensional data. We could obtain the three-dimensional distribution map about brain's opioids receptors. Finally, we compared the three-dimensional distribution between normal man and patients who who dependent on opioid. So that we could study the relationship between opioid receptors and addiction and lay a solid foundation for future research and treatment of drug addiction.
