Online news as disseminating and receiving by the internet-based news information, along with the rapid development of network media and matureness of network technology, its characteristics and advantages have also become increasingly prominent. It has the special advantages such as interaction, multimedia, the antisynchronism, easily seized, hyperlinks and it also has a lot of information. So online news have had a serious impact on the traditional media and on the process in the dissemination of information arising from the psychological mechanisms and behavior patterns of the audience to accept information have taken place a series of new changes, like to choose information initiative, rapid access psychology, accurate close to the depth of information, scanning and to news title "first dependent feeling"and so on. In view of these new changes and new features, following the basic principles of news writing, we must also explore the special rules and use the special skills in order to meet audience demands and realize the dissemination objectives.This thesis, starting from the audience psychology, analysed the reading habit changes of audience and new features of online news text under these changes, combined with the latest examples of Xinhua, Sina, Sohu and other news websites, from four parts including the news title, the lead, the main body, the background links, made a comprehensive research. The thesis summarized the pattern of online news text, namely by "the crown" the title, "the bough" the lead, "the branch" the main body, "the root" the background links are composed the "tree" pattern. In addition, the thesis had also carried on the discussions to the online news practitioner's quality requests.
