A set of real time image processing system based on the DSP technology and PCI local bus protocol is designed in this paper against the background of celestial object detection technology. At present, the satellite data stream in simulative celestial background is processed by the celestial object capture algorithm embedded in this DSP system, and the demand of real-time performance at 4Hz frame frequency is also satisfied.This paper mainly focuses on development of the hardware platform and system software of the real time image processing system of celestial object detection, mainly including the following contents:First of all, the development of the celestial object detection technology and digital image processing system both in China and abroad is introduced.Second, two key technologies adopted in this system are deeply researched for the future work, the DSP technology and PCI local bus protocol.Third, the whole hardware platform of the real time image processing system of celestial object detection is designed. This hardware platform adopts the DSP chip TMS320C6701 and the PCI bus control chip AMCCS5933 as its core components. TMS320C6701 is used for the embedded algorithm processing, while AMCCS5933 is used for PCI bus interface circuit to realize the high speed data transmission with the host. What's more, the deep research of AMCCS5933 lays a solid foundation for the connection of the multi-DSP parallel processing system and PCI local bus for further project.Fourth, the system software is designed: the system driving program and the DSP programs, which include the system initialization program, the real time image acquisition based on the FIFO, the embedded celestial object capture algorithm and system boot load program.Finally, Satellite Tool Kit 8.1.1 is utilized to simulate the data stream in celestial background. The data stream is input into this system through the I/O interface and processed with celestial object capture algorithm embedded in DSP to realize the celestial object detection. In this way, the performance of the whole system is tested and the correctness and validity of the celestial capture algorithm is verified.The innovation of this thesis: the research and design of real time image processing system based on celsetrial object detection.
