Abstract/Summary:
Portable satellite communication earth station is a complicated mechatronic products, and it is with all the advantages of satellite communication. With the development of satellite communication and the high performance of emergency communication, the design of portable satellite communication earth station which has high reliability,various services and conveninent to carry has become a hot research of satellite communication.In order to develop a portable satellite communication earth station with a small caliber antenna, the research and design of control system for satellite communication was discussed in this paper. It achieved the search and tracking on satellite and ensured that the antenna can point to the satellite all the time to achieve satellite communication.Firstly, the mechanical structure of the system was analyzed and discussed in this paper. The control system communication technology which is on the basis of a two-axis antenna structure and a overall plan based on GPS and electronic compass were designed. Then the selection of sensors and key devices were introduced in detail, and the hardware overall structure and function design are carried out. The hardware module circuits of power supply,signal conditioning,motor drive,LCD display,wireless monitor and so on are proposed. In order to achieve the high precision pointing of the satelllite, a antenna pointing control algorithm based on the combination of fine alignment and coarse alignment were designed, and meantime the pionting calculation formula and steps were gaven. The communication module,display module,motor control module and so on were developed respectively based on the modular software design methode. Last, in order to complete the monitor to protable satellite communications effectively, a full-featured and user-friendly remote monitoring program based on the wireless monitoring was developed in particular.The debug of the whole control system was done after all the design has been completed, and the problems which appeared in the process of debugging was analyzed. The future work was also discussed.
