Plasma stealth is a technique to evade radar detection by using plasma. This method highlights the advantages in terms of its principle with very promising prospects. Several major military powers are very active in this field and a great of researches are on the way. Currently, this method and technology is not yet mature, many problems remain to be solved. So it is still needed to conduct extensive, in-depth, detailed theoretical and experimental research. In recent years, great achievements have been obtained in numerical simulation and great concerns are shown from all aspects. In recent years, great achievements have been made in numerical simulation and have attracted attention from all aspects. In this paper, based on two models with into trachea shape such as straight and S body cavity, the structure of the contrast group (straight and S body cavity), and plasma model (cavity wall covering plasma layer at low temperature) are set respectively. Finite difference time domain (FDTD) method is used as numerical simulation to study the shielding effect of the structure and the plasma layer on radar (electromagnetic waves). The results showed that (1) straight metal chamber has strong reflective properties for electromagnetic waves while S-type metallic cavity is relatively weak in reflection for electromagnetic wave. This reflects the structural role of stealth; (2) echo wave energy is significantly reduced with plasma layer covering the wall cavity and the straight metal body cavity with plasma strengthens absorption of electromagnetic waves, reflecting the role of plasma stealth; (3) structure stealth combining with plasma stealth, helps to further improve and optimize electromagnetic invisibility effect; (4) plasma collision frequency, plasma electron density and the incident electromagnetic wave frequency and other factors have different effect on stealth at different levels. The research method and results in this paper can provide valuable reference for research on plasma stealth at low temperature.
