Architecture-based Software Design Method

Architecture design is emerging as one of the primary research areas in software engineering in recently ten years. Almost all the developers think making the architecture design as the first doing at the beginning of process of software developing. But in many projects architecture design is just at the level of making the project architecture, then component based design or pattern based design which are more detailed software design method is employed, this process plays Significant Role in promoting the productivity and Reusability of developing software system. Though, we should consider that requirements keep changing in the process of development and maintenance of the system, especially new requirements are becoming the threat of the system developing. How to advance the quality of software at the developing phrase and the runtime is a big program that we must face.This paper descripts ABD method from the aspect of software developing design, which is raised Carnegie Mellon Software Engineering Institute in 2000 and is used for the development of large-scale and long life software system, further more, is suitable for new developing system without requirements given clearly at the beginning of the project. This paper also gives an application by ABD method and a conclusion is given in the end.The goal of the paper lies in discussing a new method based on ABD, confronting the problem coming from the phrase of developing and running of current software and improving the quality of system developing.
