The control procedures of electrical transmission system, as business secret, are facing the great security challenges. A variety of means of decryption caused a great deal of harm. More and more attention has been paid to the protection of the control procedures. In this dissertation, FPGA-based encryption for control system of the electrical transmission system is studied.FPGA design has advantages of flexible, fast delivery and short development cycle and less investment. This paper selects the FPGA as the hardware platform of encryption on the power transmission system.The AES encryption system is the core part of this article. The dissertaion presents the mathematics foundation, design principle, structure of AES algorithm. Then analyze the design skill. Finally, the implementation skills are proposed. The dissertation discusses the hardware implementation method, the feedback mode and non-feedback mode of the AES algorithm detailedly. Several implementation structures such as basic structure, circular structure, interior pipeline structure and exterior pipeline structure are recommended. The dissertation selects non-feedback mode with the combination of internal and external pipeline structure and takes top-down design method to realize the system. The system is devided into several modules, including control module, input/output module, encryption/decryption module, key expansion module. The key technologies and implementation scheme are determined by the analysis of these modules.The dissertation selects the Verilog HDL as a hardware description language.The paper testifies the system by timing simulation, and the data of the test result is recorded. In the end, the encryption/decryption system is applied to design a kind of hydraulic-brick-machine control procedures encryption machine. The dissertation analyzes the structure and the protocol of the encryption machine, and the detailed programme is given. The hardware encryption method is used, instead of software encryption method, to improve the security of procedures of control system.
