Location Based Service (LBS) is a kind of information service style along with the mature of the GIS technology, the fast development of embedded equipments and people's physical demands in the real life, which develop fast in recent years. With the appearance of Location Based Service, its application also penetrates into people's each aspect such as everyday life, the entertainment, the work and the transportation, the business management and so on. Simultaneously the people have also conducted the massive research about the LBS system, such as the architecture and the key technologies of the LBS system—localization technology, embedded GIS technology as well as related architecture and so on. The related LBS system have also appeared massively, which mainly pay attention to provide location-based information services for users, for example, the hotel information and the market information away from the current position and so on. However these systems exist some insufficiencies when providing services for users, For example, in view of user's different demands, the existing LBS systems provide the pointed information services very difficultly. Additionally, the system can't provide high quality services to the user, which make users consuming much time and energy to process some non-correlated information. These flaws are very obvious regarding embedded equipments that have only limited resources. On the basis of the Shaanxi Province science and technology plan project, the paper conducts the further research to the LBS system, and the main work is as follows:(1) As the requirement of the project, a LBS system has been constructed and theframe and structure have been given. The LBS system is divided into three levels--user level, the location based service level and the GIS spatial data level. The system provide main location based services such as mobile positioning, the inquiry of current position information and the inquiry of peripheral information. Meanwhile, user's individual information and preference are allowed to be custom-made.(2) In order to capture user's personal interest, the system introduces the user model. According to the user model, the system can obtain the user's individual information and the related preferred information easily. Additionally, the process of building tourism information domain ontology are given. Thus, the system can understand the user's preference and related information better through t the domain ontology.(3) A filtration algorithm is given, which combining the user interest degree with the similarity of the resources itself. First, a computational method has been given about the user's interest degree of the resources has been given considering the influence of user's visit frequency and the access time of the resources. Second, treating user's interest degree as weight, the filter algorithm is given combing with the similarity of the resources in order to satisfy the user's personal need.(4) On the foundation of the above analysis, combining the project's practical work, the user terminal prototype system has been completed.
