Visualization in Scientific Computing(Visc) is the techonology which uses computer graphics and image processing techonologies to change the datas generated by scientific experiments into the image on the computer screen, And then ,Users can be interactive with the images. The visualization technology of 3-D seismic data has become today's major means of oil and gas exploration and development, it greatly improves the efficiency and accuracy of the oil exploration.Based on discussing the principles of the 3-D seismic data's visualization , This article introduces several typical algorithms used in direct volume rendering. Because of the great amount of computation, these algorithms take a long time to finish it . So, we focus on the realization of a hardware-based volume rendering algorithm of three-dimensional texture mapping, which can greatly improve the speed of volume rendering. After that, we complete stereoscopic display in Virtual Reality Environment. For volume rendering of 3-D texture mapping algorithm, We use the histogram transfer function to change the 3-D seismic data into a 3-D texture; Then, The sampling polygons are dynamically generated, which are perpendicular to the line of sight; Next, We complete texture mapping; Finally,Use the hardware to achieve the Resampling and image blend with opacity. In this paper,we study on two kinds of algorithm: One is based on the RGBA color model; One is based on the color table model. We mainly achieves the second algorithm, and compare the results of the two different algorithms.
