Based On Model2 Mvc Framework For Online Course Selection System Design And Implementation

With the ceaselessness deepening of the education reform in colleges and universities, the teaching management system of colleges and universities in our country is experiencing transform from the academic year system to the credit system, which especially brings forward higher requests to its core-- the course selection system. It is an important measure for the reform of the credit system to develop a course selection system which adapts to the credit system, and this system is also the key to ensure the reform of the credit system successfully. The thesis, based on basic theory of the course selection system under the credit system, puts forward the necessity and feasibility of setting up the course selection system on Yibin University campus network and elaborates the designing thought, working principle and operational mechanism on selecting courses through internet so as to create a completely networking course selection system by analyzing the actual situation of Yibin University's teaching management.Based on J2EE,this thesis adopts MVC model which is one of the most popular Web application designing model at present. MVC not only realizes the separation between function module and display module, but also improves the application system's maintainability, extensibility, portability and the module's reusability. Meanwhile, this system adopts the B/S architecture which includes client browser as the foreground, web server as the intermediate server and database server as the background. The server adopts SQL Server 2005 database system and JSP modules to compose the selective application service system. The client can accomplish selecting courses via Web browser.This thesis aims to solve the typical problems in the process of the course selection system based on Internet, to improve the quality and efficiency of teaching management and to make it better serve for educational reform and construction. On the other hand, this thesis can promote the application and the study of the computer technique, especially the network technology. Therefore, it may improve the management quality of the course selection system and make the credit system more scientific and normative.
