Since the implementation of the interim data management systems, technical and other economic, human factors, heterogeneous databases are increasingly prominent phenomenon in Enterprises,the heterogeneous database integration is imperative due to "Information islands" type of application. heterogeneous data conversion is the key issues of heterogeneous database integration, So researching on heterogeneous data conversion has great significance.On the basis of study and comparing on the heterogeneous database conversion-related technologies and strategies, According to the actual demand of Provincial Power Company for data integration project of Gansu, we Choose the flexible and scalable XML-based heterogeneous data conversion method, and we improved this method since it will rise data synchronization problems due to missing the database constraints.We use XSD's elements and components to design the schema mapping rules that can completely character all information of database based on the in-depth understanding of XSD, and proposed a better method which is based on the relational data querying. It can solve the data synchronization problems in the single table mode of conversion. But it can also have redundant results by using join operation because of SVD .So we design a"early structure late tag"extracting method, it can extract the ordinal results from database and finally export them as objects to XML document with no redundant data. At last, we can load XML data to the destination database under the control of transaction based on the well-formed XML document derived from the extracting, exporting method and the schema mapping of the destination database.Through testing the system function, the middle XML data files and the schema's check function, we verified that our mind and the technical methods we chose are accurate and effective. We can use the relational data query with redundance results processing and the check function of the schema to complete reliable heterogeneous data conversion among Power Grid MIS.
