As an essential part of the future personal communication system, LEO satellite mobile communication system uses a group of satellites whose orbit is much lower than synchronous satellite to realize the communication between mobile users. For LEO satellite mobile communication system, Radio Resource Management is the important guarantee to improve the signal quality and meet the QoS requirement. This paper discusses various channel allocation algorithms of LEO satellite mobile communication channel. According to the requirement of system performance, this paper puts forward a comprehensive channel allocation algorithm. The results show that the strategy of this paper puts forward is feasible and effective, and these results also can provide reference for a practical network design.Chapter 1 is the preface, which concisely introduces the characteristic and classification of satellite communication, then introduces two typical LEO satellite mobile communications systems which have already been using widely and briefly introduces Radio Resource Management and channel allocation of LEO satellite mobile communication system, at last explains the research content and the arrangement of this dissertation.Chapter 2 first introduces the Radio Resource Management of 2G and 3G mobile communication system, and then studies channel allocation algorithms of mobile communication system and LEO satellite mobile communication system.Chapter 3 first introduces the structure of LEO satellite mobile communication system, and then illustrates the role that earth gateway center play in the channel allocation, then explains the entity and structure of the earth gateway center. Finally a particular channel allocation algorithm strategy is proposed and the strategy is been introduced and discussed deeply.Chapter 4 first introduces the network models of low earth orbit satellite communication system which bulit through the OPNET network simulation software in this paper. Base on these simulation models, the channel allocation algorithm strategy is implemented and the simulation results are collected. The results show that the algorithm this paper puts forward can effectively improve the LEO satellite mobile communication quality, demonstrates the feasibility and efficiency of the algorithm.At the end of the thesis, the summary and the future research on this subject are given.
