According to the theory and technology of Active Phased Array Antenna, the paper introduces the analysis and design of plane arrays, the whole simulation and realization of linear array. Finally testing results meet the requirements of technical indicators. It has guiding significance for the development of the low-sidelobe antennas.Firstly, the paper introduces the principle of Active Phased Array Antenna, including the technology of one-dimensional active phased array and phased scanning, three methods of achieving low-sidelobe antennas.Secondly, according to analyze the rectangular grid and rectangular boundary planar array which is added baffle-board, theoretical radiation far-field of and the methods of calculating direction coefficient are gained. Based on the technical requirements, the calibre distribution of plane arrays is determined, the azimuth of antenna is fed by Taylor distribution, the pitching of antenna is fed by uniform distribution while transmitting, Taylor distribution while receiving, then through the classical theory to identify the spacing and number of elements and the amplitude and phase distribution of plane arrays. In the circumstances of spacing and number of elements unchanged,according to the requirement of sidelobe level, error analysis is given to guide the design of power divider, and to control the setting accuracy of T/R components amplitude and phase.Furthermore, considering the characteristics of the antenna radiation element which is prone to design with power divider network integratively, the paper selects the appropriate dipole form from several different dipole models. The power divider network which adopts several Wilkinson power dividers is based on the stripline structure. We use Ansoft HFSS software to simulate power divider network and dipole model respectively, then simulate the whole array integratively. When the results are satisfying, we use Autocad to process it.Finally, Simulation and testing results of the linear array show that its VSWR is below 1.4 within the required frequency band. Sidelobe leve is less than -30dB, and Gain is 17dB. At the same time, we analyze and compensate mutual coupling of the linear array and plan array respectively for builduping the plan array.
