Embedded Software Online Testing System, Hardware And Software Combination

With the rapid development of computer hardware technology and the high integration of component, the capability of hardware of embedded system has been greatly improved. Simultaneously the complexity and scale of embedded software also grow increasingly. The speciality of embedded software asks for embedded software being more effective and reliable. So the quality of software plays a decisive role in the whole embedded system.The target of this subject is to design and accomplish a on-line testing system for emdedded softeware .Based on deep analisis and research of on-line testing of embedded software tool CodeTEST, we bring forward a solution for on-line testing of embedded software which based on PCI interface data acquisition system, the target machine which the VxWorks operating system is working hardware combining with software online testing system embedded software solutions.This project places the host, crossing-work with the target system, and is assisted with data acquisition system. Instrumentation places the host module to the test procedures to deal with instrumentation, through the network or serial port to download to the target board PCM3370, after the insertion procedure, the target system run to the location of instrumentation, there will be bus specific data which will trig data acquisition system to collect data and the storage data also get the specific time data when specific data are collected.Collected data can be transmitted through the network host and also can be stored in the data acquisition system's own local hard drive.Combined with data acquisition instrumentation library files, data analysis modules analyze the functions of the user's requirements,and also gives the form or image results.This part work can be completed in the host as well as in the data acquisition system.
