As the expansion of industrial manufacturing and complication of control system, safety attracts so much attention that functional safety becomes a hot spot in the field of industry. As a typical scene equipments in the process industrial field, intelligent capacitive pressure/differential pressure transmitter (hereinafter referred to as intelligent transmitter) is a instrumentation with embedded application software and has complicated system and high security. Software testing is a necessary method to guarantee software quality, so application software in intelligent transmitter must be tested strictly and thoroughly.In this paper, the testing technology based on LDRA Testbed/TBrun of the second generation HART agreement intelligent capacitive pressure/differential pressure transmitter's electronic part (hereinafter referred to as the second generation intelligent board) was researched, and the main work included static testing based on LDRA Testbed and unit testing based on LDRA TBrun. Various thoughts and concepts of software testing and test tool of LDRA Testbed/TBrun were successfully combined, finally came to a very good test result.Firstly, the current research situation both at home and abroad and the development tendency of software testing were introduced, then the basic conceptions of software testing and embedded software unit test were introduced. Software testing tool suite LDRA was introduced in detail, the basic function of LDRA Testbed/TBrun were introduced mainly.Secondly, the work theory of the second generation intelligent board was studied. Static testing technology such as basic static analysis, complexity analysis, static data flow analysis, cross-referencing analysis were studied. Then the work content selection of static testing, analysis of testing result and establishment of testing report were standardized.Finally, the unit testing of the second generation intelligent board software based on LDRA TBrun was researched. The two key technology in logistic coverage test technology were researched, including testing requirement analysis and test case design. Design unit testing cases for crucial module of the second generation intelligent board software based on the research of unit testing process and the design method of unit testing case. Test result of unit testing was analyzed deeply through unit testing.
