Microwave switch is the basic component of the microwave control circuit, which is widely used in the radar, electronic-war, microwave communication, satellite communication and microwave measurement systems etc. Single Pole Single Throw Switch (SPST) mainly completes the on-off of the signal. Single Pole Multiple Throw switches(SPMT) and switch array is mainly used to complete the conversion at different signal channel. High frequency,broadband,multi through switch are the places where design difficulties lie,accurate simulation of switch circuit is needed in PIN switch design.This thesis makes use of the existing conditions to design and analyse the broad-band high-isolation switches and the switch array. It also accomplishes the experimental study and gives test results and on this basis for testing the circuits and carring out error analysis.After Thesis details the PIN diode and basic theory of switch, proposes design method of broadband switch.It also details the process of switch circuit and uses designer, ADS and HFSS simulation software to simulate and optimize the broadband switch and assemble and test the circuit. The test results are given suggestions for improvement measures.The thesis also focus on the development of a novel 3×3 switch matrix which is controled by TTL. Firstly complete a wideband SPST switch simulation design and test it.The test results show that insertion loss is less then 1.1dB over 0.02-2GHz, the isolation is more then 60dB and the vswr is less then 1.3.Then completed development of broadband SP3T switch and the test results show that insertion loss is less then 1.2dB over 0.02-2GHz, the isolation is more then 60dB and the vswr is less then 1.5. Lastly the thesis developes a broadband 3×3 switch array and its decoding control circuit. Because of the influence of some parasitic parameter in PIN diode and circuits, a lot of simulation and optimization must be taken to compensate the circuits. Measured results show that the insertion loss of the nine signal channel is less then 2.8dB over 0.02-2GHz, the isolation is more then 80dB and the vswr is less then 2.3. Measured results show that the test results are consistent with the simulation curve on the whole. The thesis also proposes the further work required and it has a certain reference value to the design of the switch circuit.
