Microwave source is playing a crucial role in the system of Wireless Radar. Its performance determines the wireless radar a number of important indicators. The PM microwave source of fuze in the paper is a microwave source. It applies to the wireless fuze. It is the important component of the wireless fuze. As the wireless fuze and the work environment have the characteristics of short working hours, high sensitivity, wide frequency range of Doppler signal, poor working environment and the limited size. PM microwave source of fuze accordingly must have small-scale, high stability, low noise, high carrier suppression, short frequency stability time, high-reliability features. Due to the short time, the limited size, poor working conditions and frequency stability degree, low noise and high-performance carrier suppression degree requirement are contradictory; it is very difficult to meet the various demandsDevelopment of the PM microwave source considers the special application environment, studies the detailed examination of the dielectric resonator basic characteristics and its application of the basic circuit, and further analyzes the work principle of the dielectric resonator oscillator of several different circuit structures. Then it educes that the medium-feedback oscillator circuit structure which is made up of the GaAs-FET amplifier components and the feedback loop including dielectric resonator is practical in the subject. The oscillator of such structure detaches amplifier circuits and feedback circuits, thus it facilitates the design and development. On this basis, the oscillation circuits are designed.The paper studies the every application circuit structure of digital phase shifter. It designs the PM circuit of 0°and 180°using the phase shifter which replacing linked lines carries out, and analyzes the PM spectrum and carrier suppression. Basing on the fact of the subject, using the simulation software to simulate the PM circuits, it gets the performance factors of PM circuit. It gives out the rate difference and phase difference requirements of the two-shift phase paths which meet the certain carrier wave degree of inhibition. So it lays a foundation for the issue of the project. At the same time, it also designs the switch driver circuits which impact the switching time parameters.The paper designs the reliability of the PM microwave source by considering the reliability of circuit, component selection, design of reduced the component parameters and thermal design. And to ensure the stability and reliability of the product, it expects the reliability of PM microwave source by using the method of components stress.Finally, the paper researches the test method of the main parameters and the device needed to configure. According to the requirements of experimentation, it tested the produce, got the measured data and verified the design of the rationality. So that the microwave source has small size, high stability, low noise, high carrier suppression degree, short frequency stabilization time and high-reliability features.
