Since the 1970s, with the development of the pulse technology, high-power microwave technology has become a new subject. It is the outcome of the combination of pulse power technology and plasma physics and electric vacuum technology. Meanwhile, with the calculation ability and function of the computer become more powerful, particle simulation technology was promoted vastly. The experts who research high-power microwave device call for the particle simulation software increasingly. With the help of the particle simulation software, the cycle of the manufacture was shorten greatly, and much of capitals and manpower were saved, it can also promote the analysis of the theory.Some foreign countries have stared to develop the electromagnetic simulation software early, and have received the ideal achievement. For example: MAGIC software explored by the United States'corporation MRC, KARAT software explored by Russia. In our country, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China also began the exploration of the electromagnetic simulation software CHIPIC from the early of the 21th century, and has got well achievement.Based on the above reasons, this paper will introduce the related theory of the particle simulation, and related technologies of the algorithm module. Its main work is in the following:1. We showed the related theory of particle simulation software. It includes the basic idea of particle simulation, the basic problem in the simulation, the steps of the particle simulation, and the methods of the diagnosis. We analyzed the physical model of electromagnetic particle simulation algorithm. We introduced the electromagnetic algorithm– the finite difference time domain method; and we gave the algorithm of the stability condition equation.2. We introduced the related content of the particle-filled module in detail. It includes the function of the module, the analysis algorithms of the module and the treatment method of the program designing. During the programs process of the module software, a large number of comparisons of the simulation have been done. The result of the simulation is consistent with MAGIC software (the overseas mature software) basically. It proves the validity of this algorithm module.3.The present research state and the research achievement of plasma-filled device were also illustrated. Meanwhile, the exploratory work of numerical simulation of the plasma-filled method was started, and some research achievements were got. These findings provide some value-reference to the further work in the following research of plasma-filled simulation.4. The modules of particle-emission of the CHIPIC software were analyzed. Among the emission, we mainly analyze the particle-beam emission and explosive emission style. It includes the introduction of the module function, the grammar parameters, the emission mechanism, and its disposal method. Finally, some corresponding simulation examples were given.
