In recent years, as the wireless communication and network technology develop at a high speed, the mobile technology is more widely applied and the mobile service is becoming much more diversity. The next generation network will take on different services, such as voice,data,videos and etc.These services have different requirements in both bandwidth and service quality. How can we maximize the usage of network resources while ensure the service quality of multi-services and multi-users applications, is the target we pursued. Although the cable-network has the problems of service quality, but the problem in wireless network is much more challenging, in case of the mobility, laking of wireless resource, and fading of channel. The WiMAX protocol standardized by the IEEE802.16 Working Group aims at achieving global network interworking under fixed and mobile broadband wireless access environment. The technical advantages of WiMAX determined that WiMAX technology will have a vast scope of good market prospects.The service flow schema of 802.16 protocols is investigated in this dissertation, on the base of research in the characteristic and schema of IEEE802.16 protocol. The Call Admission Control and Two-phase activation scheme are deeply investigated, which is vital to the improving of service quality; A Call Admission Control arithmetic based on packet loss rate and a Two-Phase Activation schema are brought forward here. The service flow schema brought forward here provides a basis for the service quality insurance. The packet loss rate based Call Admission Control arithmetic brought here set up an effective Call Admission Control strategy, which is based on the packet loss rate analysis. The arithmetic is easily realized in application. The test result showed that the arithmetic highly improved the performance of Call Admission Control, and the CAC losing rate was highly reduced.Two-Phase Activation schema is important part of wireless resource managements and an important schema for the reduction of collision and service quality ensurance.Here a Two-Phase Activation schema is brought forward, which is suitable for the IEEE802.16 communication system according to the applications of this protocol. This schema has good performances in the improving of system resource usage and resource reservation. The schema provides insurance for the service quality of 802.16 wireless networks. The result of this dissertation had been applied in the IEEE 802.16e broadband wireless access system project.
