Web Services Standards For Interoperability Analysis And Its Applications

Currently,SOA(Services Oriented Architecture) is the mainstream thought of IT system architecture.As the best implementation technology of SOA,Web Service wins more and more attention.At present,the international organizations which participate to draft standards about Web Service are W3C,OASIS,WS-I,OMG which issued several standards in the same field. Different manufacturers support different standards,it makes users difficult to choose products and causes interoperability problem between different IT systems.At present,our country has been launched to draft SOA national standards by China Electronics Standardization Institute(CESI) Open Internet Standards Laboratory(ISOL).Based on mentioned above,ISOL planned "SOA standards interoperability report"(has been officially released in November 2008,and will be submitted as a draft to ISO/IEC JTC1 WSSG),selected six aspects standards:reliable messaging,addressing,events,business processes,transaction and services management.From the level of standards we made interoperability analysis of the six aspects standards,in order to guide our country's standard-setting work of SOA,and to enhance the core competitiveness of China's IT industry.Web services transaction ensure unified view between a number of Web Services which work together to obtain same output.When error occurs,the operation must be rolled back or compensated in order to maintain data consistency.So web services transaction technology is one of the core section of SOA system.Currently there are two web services transaction standards:WS-Transaction and WS-CAF,both of them are issued by OASIS.Beacause of participated by different vendors,they must be different from each other.First,this paper organized both of the function point and semantic of the WS-Transaction and WS-CAF specification.Then carried out interoperability analysis between the two standards from four aspects:relationship between sub- protocols,function point,the type of coordination protocols,relationships between existing standards.And analyzed development trend of Web Service transaction standards.This paper introduced the use situation of the two standards from the perspective of product and promotion.Finally,designed and implemented a Web service program which was based on WCF framework to achieve the aim of web services distributed transaction management.This paper mainly uses the mothod of literature research,analyzes original edition standards,obtains first hand data.Based on study content,we organized " SOA standards interoperability analysis workshop" several times with Inspur,China Digital,TongTech,Kingdee,IBM.We made several deep discussions with senior technical staff who came from mainstream IT vendors at home and abroad which mentioned above,kept improving research results.
