Global Digital is the earliest 3D animation company in china which integrates training, production and distribution as one ,and it is the largest 3D company in china and even in Asia. its first 3D movie《Thru The Moebius Strip》has broken the monopolization which was hold by Occident and supplied a gap for chinese 3D movie field successfully, its honord as a leading corporation and has the certain representative for domestic 3D animation industry. This paper attempts to find out the characteristics and existing problems of Chinese 3D animation industry, by the means of studying the Global Digital's development, analyzing its typical works as well as their characteristics, and comparing Global Digital's works with the ones of the same tpye in both here and abroad. In the meantime, this paper will give some prospect and suggestion for Chinese 3D animation industry in the future.
