In recent years, the interaction between China domestic media and China foreign policy decision-making has become apparent. This trend not only reflects the positive changes that has taken place in Chinese diplomacy since the reform and opening-up in 1978, but also shows the great impact that information globalization has exerted on domestic media. In fact, there has ramified links between media and politics since the birth of media. And being a part of political policy-making, it is natural for foreign policy-making to have a close interaction with media. By analysis of interaction between media and political policy-making and statement of foreign policy-making being a composite part of political policy making, the article clarifies the interaction between media and foreign policy-making and has a focus on the features of interaction between China domestic media and China foreign policy decision-making.By summarizing the developmental characteristics of China domestic media and the mechanism of China foreign policy decision-making, the article first has a theoretical observation on the interaction between two elements. Then based on the empirical analysis of media reports and diplomatic behaviors in Sino-Japanese"Dumpling Incident", the article explains China domestic media's role on foreign policy decision-making as a quick information source, public opinion reflector and guide and external broadcaster, and also the dominant and recessive channels that China foreign policy decision-making uses to exert influence on domestic media. And finally, the author provides advice for both domestic media and foreign policy makers to better understand the interaction between them and make full use of the relationship to better serve Chinese diplomacy in the future.
