Electrical Capacitance Tomography (ECT) technology is one kind of Process Tomography (PT) based on the principle of capacitance sensitive developed rapidly in recent years, which has a lot of advantages such as fast processing speed, non-invasive, non-radiation, good security, low cost, etc, is main stream and research hotspot in the multiphase flow parameters detection field. To realize the industrial application, there are some difficulties need to be overcamed, one of which is the low accuracy image quality.The focus of this paper is to improve image quality, with the two suggested methods:First, based on the new idea of rotational capacitor, the capacity transducer and its switching networks was designed, which can increase projection data and improve reconstruction image resolution without decreasing the area of electrodes and reducing the sensitivity.Second, improve BP network structure, and reconstruct the image with this algorithm. The experiment results show that the the accuracy of reconstruction image was increased based on the impoved method.In addition, this paper has studied the two common circuits of tiny capacitance detection based on charging/discharging principle and AC principle, choosed the appropriate, realized data about A / D conversion and communication between PC and SCM.A complete ECT experimental apparatus was set up, and experiments for rotational capacity method and improved BP network algorithm ware made.
