Electrical Capacitance Tomography (ECT) is one kind of Process Tomography (PT) based on the principle of capacitance sensitive, with non-radioactive, non-intrusive, fast in response, low in cost, safe and so on. It has become one of the important techniques for the detection of multiphase flow parameters, and also has a good prospect in engineering applications. But there are still some imperfections so far, and the low resolution of image reconstruction is a difficulty.This paper focused on researching the methods of improving the resolution of image reconstruction, proposed a new method creatively, based on the principle of rotation capacitance, which can increase effective measurement data not at the expense of increasing the numbers of electrode and reducing the sensitivity, so that improve the resolution of image reconstruction; The paper has designed and debugged the switching and controlling hardware successfully; the paper confirmed that this new method could improve the resolution of image reconstruction by comparing the final results.In addition, the paper has designed and debugged the circuit of tiny capacitance detection based on charging/discharging principle; at last, we selected the best algorithm for image reconstruction by comparing some. The results show that the whole package is feasible.
