With the development of internet, the instruments which can be linked to network and transmits or receives datum via network become more and more popular. In that, the one with friendly touchable interface is mainstream. It is interesting that how to realize remote control on it.In this thesis, the prospect of touchable instruments is analyzed, and the differences between traditional virtual instruments and the instruments that can be remote controlled are given. Considering the features of touchable network instruments, the methods which can be used to transmit information between instruments and touchable screen are researched. A design based on embedded instruments is realized, which is composed of ARM processor ( Advanced RISC Machine ) and MiniGUI.The work is as following:1. Design the software based on tslib, which can automatic capture, save and apply the calibration parameters of touchable screen. The program based on POSIX (Portable Operating System Interface) that transmit touchable screen information to output port is composed.2. Some MiniGUI modules are designed which analyze information from central program and realize remote controller by VNC (Virtual Network Computing). A x11vnc(a VNC program) remote event converter is realized, which can convert remote event to local event and transmit it to system.It's an important direction for instrument industry that develop touchable instrument base on embedded system. How to control the unit remotely is an interesting problem.
